Marshalls Park is an expanding Ofsted ‘Good’ secondary school and we are seeking a Learning Mentor to join our team. Marshalls Park Academy is located in Romford, Havering and is at an exciting time as the academy has grown to be one of the largest in the borough.  Our vision is to ensure that all of our students are enabled to achieve to the very best of their ability and beyond. We will achieve this by ensuring that every lesson counts; through good and outstanding teaching and focusing on the individual needs of each and every student.

The role will involve working flexibly within a dedicated team of Learning Mentors to support identified students and assist them in overcoming any barriers to their learning. This can include: providing appropriate levels of individual attention, reassurance and help for students; supporting the specific needs of specified students; work with students to ensure that they are ready and prepared for learning first thing in the morning and during the course of the day; and liaising with outside agencies and parents concerning appropriate provision and intervention.

This is an exciting time to join SWECET, which is a multi-academy trust that was established in 2015 with the belief that every young person in our community needs and deserves an education that will maximise their future life chances. Our colleagues are critical to achieving this vision and securing the best futures for our young people.

In return for their dedication to achieving our vision, we offer our colleagues:

  • Competitive salaries.
  • Full and comprehensive induction with training and tailored pathways for individual career progression.
  • Reduced gym membership at a Trust school.
  • Becoming part of a growing organisation.
  • A two week October half term.
