Lead Practitioner (Humanities)

We are seeking to appoint a talented and ambitious Teacher of Humanities to join our Lead Practitioner team. The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner who is highly motivated and have a real passion for Humanities and for developing the subjects and colleagues. The Lead Practitioner team form the backbone of the teaching and learning development work in the school and are well supported by both an experienced Assistant Headteacher and Director of Humanities. All Lead Practitioners have responsibilities both within and beyond the departments and therefore the role provides outstanding professional development opportunities as well as providing an excellent opportunity for an ambitious colleague to develop their leadership skills further.

This is a key appointment and the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in raising achievement in both in Humanities and across the key stages and supporting colleagues to further improve teaching and learning. We are looking for someone with a proven track record to join the team and who has the drive, passion and commitment to raise the profile of the subject.
