Director of Mathematics
South West Essex Community Education Trust (SWECET) is looking to appoint an inspirational and highly skilled mathematics practitioner to undertake the new role of Director of Mathematics. You will take a lead role in driving improvement of the quality of teaching and learning within the mathematics faculties across the Trust’s 3 secondary schools. You will provide strategic leadership and curriculum vision to raise standards in your specialism.
This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join SWECET and form part of a new tier of leadership supporting English, Mathematics and Science in our three secondary schools. As part of the role, you will have a teaching responsibility at a substantive school, typically being based at that school 3 days per week and working across the other 2 secondary schools on the other days of the week.
We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner with experience of leading a highly successful curriculum area. You will also have experience of delivering successful coaching, mentoring and professional development programmes, whilst developing talent.
